Training for the Events

With such a diverse set of events and challenges, training is almost as difficult as the challenges themselves! However, it also keeps things fresh and interesting.

Pilates

I had been interested in Pilates for a while. I needed something to get me out the house and keep me focused on a regular basis. It also related as it helped with my flexibility and core strength, which had defiantly taken a hot the last few years. I was lucky enough to discover WildCorePhysio and Emma Wild. Emma and her wonderful team have really pulled me back to some sort of mental and physical fitness to build on to be able to take on these challenges. Pilates will play a big part in achieving success.

Gravel Cycling

Part of the Arctic Circle challenge is cycling on snow. Obviously that's not that easy in England as we get rain rather than snow, so the recommendation is to get out and cycle on gravel. Also the Calder Divide Trail is based on gravel. 

Walking

Thankfully I have a rather energetic Spaniel so he drags me out for lots of walks.
